Captivating!

I just love these stories about Greek gods and their antics. Abby brings them very nicely into the story and I find it fascinating how the gods and goddesses involved themselves with ordinary mortals. In the process I also got to learn a lot more about the two characters that later became the parents of Achilles.

Amazing Amazons...

I am amazed by the involvement of the Amazonian women in the war at Troy. These brave warriors make me proud to be a women and I wonder about their society where they were respected for their strength. Fascinating to speculate that their influence could have stretched as far as the Zambezi valley in Africa.

Absolutely beautiful!

Hi Abby, I joined you on Mount Pelion in a flash. Thanks for the pictures, they make it so much easier to see what was going on at this unusual wedding between a mortal and a goddess. I enjoyed this practical introduction to the Olympian gods and it helped a lot to understand the story better.

Meet the Olympians!

Abby's description of the “Wedding of Peleus and Thetis” make the Olympian gods come alive with their quirks and weaknesses. It is also an introduction to the parents of the hero Achilles and it helps us to understand why he behaved in the way that he did...
